Timothy J. Huntsman

Timothy was born in London, England and grew up in Newfoundland and Labrador. He obtained his degree in engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering in 1996. After continuing his studies, he obtained his Law degree from the University of New Brunswick in 2002. Timothy articled with Hunter Garrett Lobay in Nanaimo, British Columbia from 2002 – 2003 and now chooses to grow his practice here.  Huntsman Law focuses its efforts on litigation and trials, particularly as they pertain to issues with land claims and construction disputesestates and trusts, and personal injury law.

An active member of the community, Timothy is a coxswain with Royal Canadian Marine  Search And Rescue, Station 27 Nanaimo, and has responded to over 100 missions at sea. He is also the Fleet Legal Officer at the Nanaimo Yacht Club. Timothy is committed to local charities and organizations with a focus on community. An avid sailor, he enjoys getting out on the water as much as possible on his classic wooden boat.

Timothy and his wife Patricia love living on the island, and look forward to many happy years in the community.
